Utah's Little Grand Canyon - The San Rafael Swell
You can drive your own vehicle to the edge of this jaw-dropping expanse of canyons. Explore along the rim via vehicle, on foot, or mountain bike.
Ancient and Western History
From here you can venture short distances (via your own car) to view some of the most magnificent petroglyph and pictograph panels found anywhere on this planet. Dinosaur footprints, dinosaur bones, pioneer and outlaw signatures, and other remnants of ancient and western life are all around Big Mountain Lodge.
Mountain Retreats
Venture off to cool mountain locations in the nearby Manti La-Sal National Forest (begins just 2 miles away) with places such as Millsite State Park literally just minutes from our front door. Rivers, lakes, and high mountain meadows are awaiting your discovery.
This is an outdoor enthusiasts heaven on earth. Within 5-to-30 minutes of Big Mountain Lodge you will find breathtaking vista overlooks surrounded by ancient history and geological wonders.
